Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur – July 18, 2018 – The Association of Shariah Advisors for Islamic Finance Malaysia (ASAS) had conducted the Ijtima’ ASAS 2018 with the theme Islamic Finance Beyond Banking. The event was attended by more than 90 participants. This Ijtima’ ASAS 2018 was divided into two sessions. The first session topic was Direction, Growth and Future of Islamic Finance Towards Industrial Revolution 4.0. The moderator for this session was Ir. Dr. Muhamad Fuad Abdullah (Chairman Shariah Committee MIDF) and the panelists were Mr. Othman Abdullah (CEO, Islamic Banking and Innovation Services Delivery, Silverlake Group) and Ms. Siti Zurina Sabarudin (Founding Partner, Zurina Advocates and Solicitors). As for the second session, the topic was Exploring New Segment in Islamic Finance: Halal Industry.
The moderator for this session was Mr. Makhtar Abdullah (CEO of ASAS) and the panelists were Mr. Nik Joharris Nik Ahmad (Head, Advisory, Innovation & Centre of Excellence, Maybank Islamic Malaysia Berhad) and Ms. Amnah Shaari (CEO Serunai CommerceSdn Bhd).
