A learner would be able to complete the three certification levels within a minimum period of three (3) years from the date of enrolment. Since this is a long-life learning programme and candidates will study at their own pace, the total duration for completing a course will differ from a candidate to another, depending on individual capability. Specifically it will take a minimum of 17 months for CSA and 20 months for CSP, depending on successful completion of each level.
CSA : Recognised degree in Shariah
CSP : Recognised tertiary / professional qualification relatd to Islamic Finance or;
Two (2) years of Islamic finance related working experience;
Other qualifications acceptable by ASAS
Examination will be held on Saturdays, 2-3 weeks after the classes complete.
For Level 1 and Level 2 : 50 MCQs
Duration of Exam : 1 hour 30 minutes
Level 3 : Maqasid Shariah Module (50 MCQs)
Case Study Module (Case Study Presentation & Assignment)
Yes, you may apply for exemption, but it is subject to the committee’s approval.
Except for these three (3) modules
Yes, there is an exemption fee charged for each module.
After you are officially enrolled to the programme, you can apply for the exemption using the exemption form.
